Adoption Center/Community Center : Design 02

Design Consultants:

Frances Hamilton, AIA LEED AP
George Taft, AIA

These traditional roof slopes are being redesigned with air/light monitors/cupolas using energy calculation software - the new geometry will be added in the near future.
This facility is designed as an animal living facility and community animal care center with 100% LEED (Leadership in Energy Efficient Design) green functionality. Cat environments and dog environments are given equal priority and there is a central core where a resident caretaker and volunteers can easily work and give high quality attention and love to the many animals awaiting homes or living their lives out in this environment. Here is a list of green features to be utilized.
Below is a schematic model and floorplan. The architectural design documents for this building will eventually be available free to other animal rescue organizations as well SPFF.
